Unhappy wheel fitments?

Hi
have checked previous threads and still none the wiser, may be purchasing set of kahn alloys, its from an earlier scooby, and im running a my99 with 215/40 x17s already, mine is lowered on coilovers at present and no fowling.
Would the offset from this earlier scooby be ok on mine and no issues or are they all different and mix and match, whether you get probs swapping different years?
Regards
Gene

The lower the number the further the wheel sticks out.

Impreza offset is ET53.

A few guys have run ET48 on lowered cars with no issues.

I did run ET45 wheels on my old MY99 with Prodrive suspension kit and it rubbed on the rear lip when corning hard (roundabouts, etc)
