Question Best 17" tyre for Classic?

I need to replace my tyres, 215/40/17 on a classic Scoob. The last set were SO2's, which were highly rated back in 2002 when I fitted them and have been great (and have a useful sidewall bead for careless parking!)

What's the current favourites please?
