Questions about my01 brakes
I was told back in the summer by my Subaru dealer that my brake pads would need replacing soon. They said I had about 3000 miles left in them. I don't use the car that much but can now feel a slight difference under foot so guess I need some new ones. So my questions are
1: Is it easy to do yourself, I've read a tutorial on here but it was for a my00
2: What are the best pads to get. I asked in a motor shop and they said Reds are good but what do you guys thinK, I don't do track days by the way.
3. Will I need to replace all four, so what I mean is do they all wear equally? Also is there a way of looking at them and being able to tell if they need replacing.
4. Wheres the best place to get the recommended brakes.
Thanks in advance
Peter

1. fitting is the same as for the my00's!! so long as it's 'only' a wrx, and not an STI.
2. Alyn's the best person to advise on usage and the best pad for you!!
3. All four pads on the fornt will need replacing, the rears can be done when they need to be, you should have an audible squell when they need doing, thats the wear indicator, not necessarily metal to metal....
