Question Goodridge brake hoses..different lengths

Am currently fitting new hoses all round on the car (P1) and the new hoses are 2 different lengths, about an inch different in lengths.

Which go on the front and which on the rear?

Prompt replies appreciated.

Are they all identical apart from the lengths?

I never noticed any difference in length when fitting mine - and the only trouble I had when fitting was with bolts starting to get a bit rounded.

the nut on the solid pipework @ the wheel arch is notorious for rounding. You need a proper flare wrench (10mm IIRC) or mole-grips to get a proper grip on it. Normal open-necked wrenches will start rounding it.

I've only re-fitted the fronts myself.

just measure upto the old ones and the nearest match to it should be ok, there bigger because there less flexible then the old rubber ones

Ok, I'll let you know how I get on.

Also fitting larger disks/pads on each corner...It's all a bit manic at the mo and I hope I'm not out of my depth.

Spent half the day chasing after a M14 tap.

You fitting the Godspeed kit by any chance?

May be teaching you to suck eggs, but don't get brake fluid anywhere near the paintwork. Keep a bucket of water handy at all times just in case you splash it taking the brake lines off.

How did you guess !!!!!

Point taken re the brake fuid, and no, no sucking eggs here, all help/advise gratefully accepted. Looks like the hoses will have to wait untill tomorrow, have spent all day today fitting the new disks etc and swinging on a socket set.
Made the effort whilst the calipers were off to clean and paint them and have to say they do look better for it.

It's rear disks/pads and all hoses tomorrow....hopefully
