Default Squeeky EBC "Red stuff" pads

I have just had a set of new EBC pads put on my 2003STI, and after an initial rough noise period, they have started a really loud squeek when breaking.

Is there anything I can do to lessen this...or am I stuck with this noise till things bed in.

had some ebc greens that squeaked at <30mph. dabbing the brakes stopped it. they were only half worn but replacing them solves it.

fitted a new set to my RB5 before New Year. Only done about 60 miles and no squeaks from them. Did you follow the bedding-in procedure?

beddding in procedure not clear with these pads but light braking for first few hundred miles.

Mine squeek all the time...more annoyingly even when the brakes aren't applied. Plenty of copperslip applied when fitted. I have a feeling that the stick-on anti-squeel shims supplied are crud.

I could open it all up and re-apply copper slip and some new shims but cant be arsed as they are relativley new anyway.

doesn't anyone use Search these days?

I did the braking 3-4 times from 30-40mph .. and so as spikus1969 mentioned.

I've had redstuff pads on the front for about 5000 miles and they are about half worn. Drove like a saint for the first 200 miles though and then went to IOM and gave them hell.....

Still no squeeks....
