Kumho 712 Ecsta Supra Tyres
#2
I have a set of Kuhmo 711's and they are a bit crap, and when i say crap I mean s**t. Thought I would give them a go cause they were so cheap but never again!
Dont know what the 712's are like but if they are anything like the 711's I would stay away.

They are a middling high performance tyre..Remember they are classed as a budget tyre, but most people that have used them thought they were certainly worth the money.
The yanks seem to like them (of course not always a good thing ) and they were ranked 12th out of 42 tyres tested on tirerack.com

I had a set of these on my Impreza in 205/55 VR15. Grip was excellent on dry and wet roads. They had about a third of the tread left after 20,000 miles which included three trips to the 'ring. Would definitely buy them again.

I am guessing that the 712 must be very different to the 711's then. I just put my pair of 711's on the front and the Bridgestones on the rear now when I kick it at roundabouts it just understeers instead of trying to swap ends! With the 711's on the rear all it took was anything over 20mph and a small kick to get em sliding, will keep then for airfield days for fun but not in the road.
