Welded brakes, possibly???
Morning,
On Friday there was a terrible noise coming from the car, sounded like i was dragging a hundred baked bean cans under the car. Once I pulled over I reaslised it was coming from my front right wheel, and was worse when I appled the brakes. However, it soon went away and I checked it out as much as I could without seeing anything obivous.
I drove the car briefly on Saturday and it seemed fine, however last night I drove it and there is a very slight vibration to the whole car at around 4000 revs. Does it sound like my pads are welded to the disc? Or worse? Or better?
Any opinions please before I decided whether it's a dealer job (2 hour round trip) or I can trust a Kiwkfitfitter to look at it....
Cheers

I doubt that your pads are welded to the disc. The noise you describe can be caused by a pebble or similar finding its way between the disc and the dust plate (when its happened to me its loud enough to turn heads from quite a distance). Rolling the car back and forward a few times usually gets rid of it.
If it was this however its not made worse by using the brakes.
