Angry Wife kerbed my wheel, advice please

The bloody wife moved my WRX out of the garage this morning and kerbed the wheel, about quarter of the way around the rim.

What do you think I should do:

Repair - Who does this?
Buy new wheel
Bin the wife, then repair the wheel

Any advice would be appreciated.

Dan

option 3 mate

How bad is the wheel? If its just scuffed the alloy on the rim then you could touch it in after using some chemical metal to fill it in. This is for cosmetic damage only remember.

For proper damage I think that there are quite a few wheel refurb places that you could try depending where you are in the country.

Make the wife pay for damage plus "other" favours as and when requried.

Also, ban the wife from ever driving the car again.

Get it refurbed. Check your local Yellow Pages, or ask at local tyre shops as down here they often act as an agent for the big wheel refurb companies.

Its usually around £35-£50 per wheel to get refurbed! Not too expensive i thought

Thanks for the advice guys.

What is chemical metal filler? The kerb has taken the paint off and lightly grazed the alloy, will this do the job?

What I don't get is that she never even noticed she had hit the kerb, denied it totally. When I pointed out the concrete still on the wheel, she admitted it must have been her, careless or what!

I might have forgiven her by Xmas.

Thumbs up

I took two OE WRX 01 wheels to Kingsway tyres in Grimsby, both were done for £25 the pair, excellent finish.

Light kerbing on one a bit heavier with some scoring over 3" on the other, (slid car into kerbstone on packed snow )

The "wife" did it huh? Guess she doesn't often get on here?

Repair the wheel, find a local wheel/tyre dealer, if it's just a few scratches it should be easy for them to repair.
