Default Help please - wheels....

Hi

I have noticed that recently I have a serious problem (I think). When I am driving at any speed, the steering seems to pull to one side or the other! The wheels have fairly recently been balanced and the air pressure checked. When I rang the garage they said that "the car just follows the tyre tread in the road...." Am I being fed a load of baloney or is this correct? I am very worried about it, and also a bit scared of making a complete *** of myself as it's my first scoob.

cheers

Also brakes very squeaky when car been standing for more than 10 mins - is this normal ?

It's called 'tramlining', and it's pretty common, more so with some combinations of car, tyre and suspension than others.

Which car do you have, and what model and size of tyre?
