Default Brake fluid.

Fitted my front pads today. Brake fluid is above max, I have rears todo still.

I will remove excess fluid into a jar, but how do you guys dispose of it? I will NOT put it down a drain etc.

Last time I took it to the tip and was told to put it in the container with the old engine oil.

COSSH datasheet here. Quote "dispose of via an authorised contractor as oil contaminated waste". So the local tip's oil recycling tank is the correct answer.

Take it to the local tip and put it into the oil waste tank (that's what I did).

Then the local council will sift all the crap out of it and sell the light stuff to chinese takeway's as cheap oil for cooking, the medium stuff goes all those back street garages as "generic" car oil, and the heavy stuff goes to farmers to feed pigs.
