Default Front brake pad change.

Gonna change my front pads. Do I need to worry about damaging ABS or anything if I have to push the pistons back to drop the pads in?

Ta.

Depends on what you use to push the pads back Sledge hammer may cause damage but pushing them back by carefully levering them back with a screw driver won't cause any harm.

I normally push back the pistons using the old pads and a screw driver against the disk to stop any chance of damaging the pistons. Makes it easier to get the old pads out too

When pushing back make sure you dont damage the rubber seal on the pistons. apart from that the subaru pads are the most simple one ive done.

yeah a complete doddle this one.. I use a G-clamp to push the pistons back in.

Make sure you have plenty of copper slip available for the guide pins, back of the pads etc...

Cheers.

I have a little tool that pushes the pistons back for you. So the seals don't get damaged.

Also have the rears and disks to do aswell. I have bought a seal kit for them as the rears don't get as much use. Preventative maintenance.
