Question 19" Rims, Which Ones?

Hi All,

I fancy getting some 19" rims on my 02 STi-UK. I've seen some I like (Arospeed RSGT in silver) but I don't think they'll go on, they appear to have 4 stud fitting only. Pic can be seen here:

Anyone got 19" rims on their scooby? I'm looking for a few suggestions as to what I might get.

Cheers,

Michael.

Aha, it appears I may have spoken too soon, 18's seem to fit, will try and find out if 19's will fit mine.

If you want some top quality ones then Volk Racing do some 19" ones to fit - I've got the website address for some on the other computer and will dig it out (they're not cheap though, probably 2.5-3K's worth as they're light weight and very strong).

I know 19's look good, but they're not the best of ride comfort or tramlining when your tyres are half worn+. I've thought about them several times and been swayed off by high tyre replacement costs and a drive in my mates car (his even scrapes the alloys a little on sweeping tight corners because the tyre profile is so small and there's very little rim protection on the classics when the tyre is stretched over them).

Try Wheelbase in Oldham for ones that'll fit or Performance Alloys online

Cheers BlueBoy,

I agree, 19's look better, but perhaps you're right in that 18's offer a bit more practicality. I must admit, the practicality side is something I hadn't really thought about

As for wheels at 2.5-3K, thats a 'bit' more than I was planning on spending. Was thinking of about a grand, or a grand and a half max really.

I guess best bet is to check out some replacement tyre prices before steaming ahead with 19's. Then start looking at 18's....
