Question Will these wheels fit?

Been looking at some wheels to replace my std ones as they are knackerd!

Will these fit?

"Set of 4, BRAND NEW 7x16" Multispoke Wheels in dark grey for the Subaru Impreza. Can also be fitted to other Subaru models, and some other makes. 5x100pcd, offset et50"

I know nothing about the offset, is this correct for a MY 98 turbo? Also will my std tyres fit on these rims??

Cheers,

Matt

Should fit no problem, you want 205/50/16 tyres

Cheers for that, the only thing I'm not sure about is should I go for 17" instead?? I'm worried that the very rural roads where I live would soon bash the hell out of rims / car / me with lower profile tyres on!!

Get yourself some tyres with stiffer sidewalls and larger rim protectors (the Goodyear Eagles have decent protection). IMO, 17's are the best compromise between handling, ride quality, cost and good looks on the car. You'll get more feedback with the lower profile tyres as well on 17's.

I've only got 18's on mine because I can't get my brakes under 17's

IMHO:

16's with 205x50x16 decent tyres, ie Toyo/Goodyear will dive well, and on rough roads will be much less of a worry (potholes!)

The 17's with 40 section tyres will be streets ahead on handling in comparison (good tyres required) but will worry the hell out of you on rough roads.

I race my Sti v3 on 16's with super soft 50 x 205 section tyres (Kumho's) and have P1 17's with medium soft Kumho 40 x 205 secton tyres. Both are good, the 17's have the road edge, but the 16's better on the hill climb tracks!
