Default Lightest 16" wheels

So come on then - which ones are reckoned to be the lightest?

IIRC one of the OE Subaru MY's had real lightweight rims fitted but I cant remember which ones

Richard, none of us can afford them, but recently there was a For Sale of some 16'' S202 Jap only Scooby wheels which are forged aluminium and about 5Kg each (?)
Try going back about 5 months. He couldn't/didn't sell thm at the time @ £600 the set I think. They were gold though

ps, Headers arrived, TD05 20g on order, 550/Walbro in the post..just the ApexiFC now......and slicks.
Know anyone with a cheap 6 speeder kit?

I think they're the same as the ones on my type R except mine are black They were Volks Racing wheels by Rays Engineering and I've been told they're the about as light as you can get.

Must be some truth to it though as they helped me do a 12.9 on the quarter mile at the weekend .

Think these from speedline are about 4.5Kg, magnesium wheels

you can get magnesium split rims made lighter but very expensive

Not quite 20 quid, but I was able to buy a set of 17" TE37's with part worn Pirelli PZero Neros earlier this year at a reasonable price They are available here as an option from STi, so mine are gold with the usual STi lettering on them, just like shown here: http://www.subaru-sti.co.jp/parts/gc...reza/cat9.html

61000yen each, that's over 300 quid a corner ! Glad I didn't pay that.

They have a reputation in Japan as being strong and light, one of the more popular wheels for race cars I'm told.

Default Lightest wheels

The lightest wheels I know of are the ones that came standard on the S202 Spec C. They are magnesium alloy and weigh approx 5-7kg's each. Superlight eh !

They only came on the S202, but I have one for sale and can sell the wheels seperately as I have placed 18" alloys on my modified (400bhp) monster !
