Default classic wheel offset advice needed

Would a 7.5" x 18" wheel with a 45mm offset fit on a sti v4.
Tyre sizes 225 x 35 x 18.
I was told P1 offset was 48.5mm, but subaru advise 50mm to 55mm.
I don't want any fouling of the arches inside or out.
Any advise on this situation please?

I'd say that the offset is too low. If it hits anywhere, it'll be the rear outside wheelarch lip or the rubber seal, trim, protector over it. IMO it won't do this normally but if your pressing on or have the car loaded up at the back it'll be a PITA. You may claw back a little room by fitting 215/35s.

Depends really, if you can have a play with the wheels before you buy or whether you've got to buy them and the tyres before you'll know they fit.

P1WRC wheel 17x7 is ET52
P1WRC wheel 18x7.5 is ET53

Thanks lads, the wheels are in the for sale section, they are on a civic type r which made me think. i think 45mm may be too small, i don't want to upset the handling.

they will fit ok but you'd be better with a higher offset , ie 52-55 . .

a couple of lads i know have the bk299's and they are 45mm offset . .
as i say, they do fit . . but would be better if they were 52+ IMO
