Question Wolfrace Urban Racer wheels on a classic wagon?

I have a 98 classic wagon and want to upgrade to 17" rims. I've been to my local wheel centre and the sales guy said that I can run Wolfrace Urban Racer wheels with a 45 offset on my wagon with 205/40 tyres. He has owned scoobys and has scooby customers and appeared pretty knowledgable and 'straight' (and can sell me higher offset wheels if I want.) The wolfrace site also says I can use these rims but are they right as other scoobynet threads had mixed feedback. Does anyone run these rims or other 45 offset rims and what are your experiences please. Please advise before I shell out.

(Yep could have put this in wheels and tyres but need a quick response - move if you have to!)
