Unhappy Urgent Help.... Spongy Brake Pedal

Have Bled the brakes...having a problem whwre the brakes are really soft when driving, as if there is air in the system

I have Bled the brakes twice now, yet no bubles appear and all is ok..

I can be stationary, and when i press the brakes, the pedal goes nearly all the way down, if i pump it it gets better. If i press the brakes again 20seconds later the foot goes all the way down again,

Any thoughts? Or is this just normal?

definately not normal. sounds like either still some air in the system or seals in master cylinder faulty. are u bleeding them with the pipe into a jar?

Bleeding into a Jar with a pipe.

Only changes that have been done are:
New 4Pot Brambo's & Braided Hose's
Braided Hose's at the rear

All was okay before with the Hi-Spec Calipers...

Is there a set method of bleeding, as in what wheel to start with and to finish at?

try getting one of those brake bleed kits that plug onto your tyre and screw onto the reservoir cap, have always had good results with them.
although have as yet not used one on the scoob.

I bled mine furthest first, but because of the ABS system, press the pedal with the nipple open/tube in jar g e n t l e y !
Sounds like you have a good glut of air in there.
Might sound stupid but you have put the calipers on with the nipples uppermost?

Good luck,

as 911 says furthest first is generally the rule. with braided hoses the pedal should feel firmer than with standard rubber hoses. if you have an air lock it might take some time bleeding to get it to the point when it gets to the jar.

Daft question time, do you have the calipers on the right side of the car, ie, the bleed nipple MUST be at the top!!!!!!!!!

Guys thats for all the input....

Spoke to Ian, and he pointed that out this morning...

I assmumed that my braided hose's would fit on to these, and they only did with the calipers the wrong way...Opps...

New hoses will be with me tommrow...

You learn a new thing everyday....
