Brembo Discs & Ferrodo 2500 pads SQUEAL
Just had new discs and pads fitted all round to my classic UK turbo MY00. Parts were supplied by TSL, good service and very knowledgeble too. Had the parts fitted by a local garage...
Problem is that at low speeds and light braking (ie in traffic queues or just the last few miles per hour of any stop) the right front squeals like a good 'un.
It only does it once warm. Heavy braking is fine. No noises when not braking.
I had a chat with TSL and they suggested that it is probably down to either a spring or lack of copper grease on the pad which is allowing it to rattle in the caliper when the piston is not pushing firmly onto the pad - sounds plausable as I'm almost convinced the guy who fitted them didn't use copper grease.
I guess my query is do people agree with this diagnosis?
I've never fitted pads myself, but after watching the guy fit them it didn't look too hard to take them out and put back again - I was wondering if anyone could give me advice as to how much grease to use and where is this spring that holds the pads... is it the one on the back of the caliper (nearest the rear of car) ??
Any help/advice would be brill
Regards.
Dave.

As they told you look if the factory "tensioner" that keeps the pad in place is fitted, if the metallic plates back of the pads exist and of course apply some copper paste under and above the plates.
I am sure it will work as last week did the same in my WRX and DS2500 with no problems.
