Cost effective 2 Pot brake upgrade.
As I'm skint I have to keep the 2 pots on my UK classic Turbo. The brakes aren't upto much though despite a recent fluid change so I want to upgrade them as cheaply as possible.
Can I change the pads for some performance ones? If so do I need to change the disks as well?
I presume I have to change both front and rear pads to the upgraded ones? I was also thinking of getting some decent brake hoses fitted, anyone have any idea whether these will make a difference?

Hi JDM, like you, I have the ****e 2-pot brakes on my classic 96 wagon.
I have just changed all the hoses to Goodrich st/st braided hoses and have noticed that the only change is absolutely no brake fade under extreme braking, sadly the brakes are not alot better.
Will soon be upgrading to new grooved discs, fast road pads and fingers crossed, a better set of front calipres.
Go for the hoses and se what you think.
Skoosh.

within reason you can run a better pad on your discs with no issues...................couple of options dependant on budget
