My Fronts are rapidly approaching renewal,

i have been looking at some replacements

toyo proxes in 205/50/15


i currently run 205/55/15 will the 5mm lower profile give much differance in speedo readings,, ?

and would i have to tell the ins co??

the other option is to retain the profile and go for either the

yokahama 539 or A022

or alternitivly the firstone firehawk SZ80


any ideas

Just out of interest, 205/55 = 112.75 mm tyre wall
205/50 = 102.5 mm tyre wall

This is NOT 5mm difference, but 10.25 mm......

The second figure is a percentage of the tyre width, not the wall size in mm....

Use this tyre size converter to calculate the rolling diameters of the two different tyres....

Looks like 225/50x15s are the closest in 50 profile....
