Are Superleggeras stronger now?
Currently running on a set of 18"Team Dynamics Diablos. Great looking wheel but pretty damned heavy and they are looking tatty to say the least (a combination of my driving and crap quality wheels).
When I bought them I really wanted 18" silver Superleggeras but was scared off by the horror stories of how easily they buckle or bend.
Is this still the case or are they now improved as I haven't heard anything mentioned in a long time?

As far as I know and have been told OZ have stopped making the SuperL now, so your looking at existing stock out there.
If this is the case, then basically "no" they won't be any different cos they've never changed the way they were produced - if someone else knows better, then tell the man, he wants to know

7 foot - sorry, not an answer to your question, but how long have your Diablo's lasted you? I've had a set of 18's on order from Halfords for over a month and am thinking of cancelling it and looking for something else. Do you have any pics of the 18's you could mail me? I've only seen the 17's and 19's so far.
Cheers,
James

JV - Here are a few old piccies of my car. I would take some more but my digital camera has gone to the south of France without me.

The problem I and a lot of others have had is that the shiny lacquer around the rim is awful quality. After only a few months it chips then flakes exposing the alloy underneath which then turns black. Bleurgh
I'm not sure that this is a problem with the High Power Silver Diablos but it certainly is with those, like mine, that are the normal silver finish.
Back to the SuperL's - No definitive answer yet then. Although I didn't know they were stopping production.

7Foot They're not stopping Production of the Wheel, I have been in touch with Motorsport wheels 01375-489500 Wholesaler and Distributors of O.Z for the UK and asked if this was true, he confirmed they are still making them and will contiune to produce em.
Its just a case of finding someone with them in stock. They are as rare as rocking horse poo at the mo. Even harder is trying to get hold of a single wheel, rather than a set of Four.
I need to replace one after Kerbing it quite badly when shunted from behind by an old codger in a mini bus

Just got these wheels fitted to my P1 on Monday, over the moon with them! I got them from Halfords during their "sale" (about 6 weeks ago). I'm the one who was waiting for one wheel as Motorsport Wheels(distributer for OZ) only had three in stock. So Halfords guy phoned his head office and they searched for me nationwide and eventually Europewide just to get me one wheel.
Was told they "found" 20 blank wheels and were going to machine them all for Subaru fitment. So don't delay! Phone Halfords today!
PM me if you want anymore details.
Cheers

P.S. I DO NOT WORK FOR HALFORDS AND IS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THEM IN ANYWAY.
I'm just very pleased with their customer service!

You may find 18s only come in 8 inch wide now, as opposed to 7.5. I just got a set of four, with toyos and oz dustcaps for 1210, all in, balance fitting etc. Very pleased with them.
