Default Firming up the brake pedal - MY02 STI

hi there,

Just had some new DS2500 pads fitted to my MY02 STI and they are great, however the pedal still lacks that instant bite that I would like.

What can I do to firm up the feel of the pedal ?

thanks

Goodridge hoses and bleeding the brakes does improve things but I know what you mean about lacking initial bite, give them a good squeeze and they work very well.

Have a MY02 STI with Pagid RS4.2.1 pads + Goodridge hoses and the braking is good just not spectacular, thinking about getting a 6-pot kit.

I've never really been satisfied with the initial bite on my brakes. I even upgraded to large rotors, Ferodo DS2500 pads and goodridge hoses/fluid but the bit is still poor.

They do stop extremely well, but the feel through the pedal just doesn't feel solid - more mushy.

Although folk complain about the Brembo brakes on the new STI's, I did find the initial bite was much better than my own car.
