OZ WRC-1 18" GOLD RIMS
Where's the best place to get these from at a reasonable price?
Has anybody got any offers going on these at the moment?
Its for a MY99 Sti 5 Type R
Cheers

isn't the only place to get these Subaru Dealers? In which case, you could start with the list from SIDC where you get a discount. Cheam have them for £275 per wheel, which I think is the normal price, so £1100. - 10% discount £1000.
Thats actually not too bad if you can get tyres for around £400. Considering Subaru want £1800 for a set with tyres.
If any dealers are doing better than that though, I'd like to know. Saw them in titanium up at cheam and they are v.nice.

by the way correct size for that wheel is 225/35/18, but some use 225/40/18 or even 215/35/18 but these look a bit stretched on the rim.
glad to help

Yeah, your right, dealer price's are bloody stupid. I have rang a few over the last couple days and none of them are very helpful, i'd expect a bit more courtesy from the money involved.
Is Wheelbase the place where you got yours from?, I was going to phone them today but forgot to take the number into work. Will do tommorow and see whats what.
225/35/18 is the size I will go for either a Toyo or Goodyear.
Thanks again for your help mate.

don't know what(if any) tyre upgrades wheelbase will do, but i do seem to remember that Revoloution do a fair choice you can pick from if you don't like their own choice.
here's hoping you get what you want, at the price you want

225s will rub on a classic buddy, even on 35s. TKH had them on his STi5 Type RA. You will need 215s to be safe, although as hoskib says they look a little tight.

i wouldn't have thought prodrive would supply a tyre package as an upgrade that rubbed?

tims car is at standard ride height. he does drive it very hard though.
I had 215/35/18s on my old STi Type RA and that rubbed too.
I was aways under the impression that you needed 215/35/18s for a classic though.

Should be fine, I had the arches cut, rolled and sealed about a year ago.

Checked the groupbuy but it has ended, I have tried to call the dealer involved (Wilsons) but unable to get through to them yet.
Do you have them number for Mainland?

Tried Revolution and Amber performance today and both are out of stock. Tried Wilsons but kept getting an answer service. Will continue tommorow.

I bought a set of these for my Type-r a couple of months ago.
Dealers were too expensive, and other sources had no stock.
It then occured to me that my local ex-dealer would have the connections to get hold of them, and may be open to a bit of haggling
I got 4 and a set of SO-3's (not my first choice, but the only thing available) for £1600, next day
Not bad, I thought......

They make the car a touch more fidgety (on the Bridgestones at least) but the extra precision and grip make up for it.
No rubbing problems at all.

Although they're not OZ Racing, they are pretty damn close
£520 for a set of 18" without tyres and they have some very similar to the PFF7's

It's the standard offset for the classic shape....
The documentation for the wheels is at work, so I can check tomorrow, but whatever the offset they used on the P1 is what I have.

Hoskib - Thanks for all your help mate, ordered a set from Wheelbase - 18" with 225-35-18 Toyo's at £1325, should have them tuesday. They are also chucking in some locking wheel nuts aswell for free.
Your price was right at £1175 but thats with 215-35-18 Toyo's, thought i'd pay for the extra rubber.
If our paths cross mate, there's a pint in it for yer
Thanks everbody else for their contribution
Will post some pics when I fit them.
