Unhappy Rotor disc fitting

I've fitted rotor disc's to the front of my new age 2001 wrx and have a slight problem that the brake pad has a slight overhang off the edge of the disc !
The company say that they are 295 m/m disc's but they fall slightly short of that . On braking you get a buzz from the brakes due to the overhang against the edge of the disc . The disc's are for a 98 on wrx and mine is a new shape 2001 , are the brake disc's the same , i've the 4 pot subaru calipers .

The correct measurment is 294mm, and yes they're the same disc, give it time, they'll be fine, if not, remove the pad and file iff the edge!

Great !
Thanks for that i'll give it a go , as i flatted the pads back once and it went for a day but came back again , so i'll do a slight mod to the outer edges of the pads , Just wanted to make sure the disc's were right first ! .
Cheers .

Might be worth taking a smidge of the leading edge off too, just at a slight angle, that might be what's causing the noise too!!

Still got the droning noise after taking out the pads and chamfering the outer edge and putting a chamfer on the cross groove of the pads , done 220 miles on new pads and rotordiscs and the noise is still just as bad .
Has anybody got 294 m/m rotor disc's fitted to their scooby on the subaru 4 pot calipers with out a droning noise on moderate braking ?
Cheers

I'm pretty sure that the 'droning' is a result of the grooves in the disc, I certainly get it with mines when I use the brakes as they're meant to be used, so long as they're not vibrating I think they're ok.
