Just been out and managed to catch my rear wheel on a f*cking great stone! Its caused the "shadow chrome" finish to part flake off, exposing the bare alloy underneath.

Is there any touch up paint or anything that i can cover this up with until i can afford to get them re-furbished?

I've tried the aluminium touch up paint from Halfords, but this isnt a good colour match

how about some black gloss, thinned down a little? Then laquer over the top.

Or don't bother and just laquer for protection.

I was thinking just a good coat of laquer, cause the wheels arent full chrome, the finish just looks like really shiny alloy
