Several months ago I swapped the front 2 pots for P1 4 pots, discs and pads (also swapped rear pads for P1 items).

I am now getting an occasional crack/slap sound from the front brake area. It is worse in the first 1/2 hour of driving.

Could the slap sound be the pads sticking when the brake pedal is pressed then freeing up and slapping on the face of the disc?

Do the guide pins need greasing when putting the pads in position and that this is what is causing the pads to stick momentarily?

Any help or anyone else with same problem resolved?

Regards
Nick
