I’ve just found out that stocks of the DS2500 pads are now available in the UK (probably from a variety of suppliers).

Prices seem reasonable compared to other high performance pads, so it will be interesting to see how they compare (I'm sure some on here have tried them already ?).

Apparently they offer very good performance, won’t eat discs like the DS3000, but are a bit “dusty”.

Fronts - 96 : £82.11
Fronts 97 - 98: £85.68
Fronts 99 - (4 pots): £133.86

Rears - 98: £78.46
Rears 99 - : £110.81
Rears (2 pots): £99.72

AP 4 pot (50mm radial depth): £58.11
AP 4 pot (46mm radial depth): £83.11
Alcon/Brembo 4 pots : £99.44

AP 6 pots : No price available yet.

All prices are +VAT, and were supplied by FPC (01592 773677)

Editted to swap 46/50mm radial depths on AP 4 pot calipers, as I copied them down wrong it seems!

John, I paid £130 + VAT for the 2500's to fit my AP 6 pot brakes.

They are a little more dusty to what I was using (Pagid 4-2-1 pads) But they DO NOT eat the discs or wheels.

Dan,

sounds good. How are you finding them ? I'm tempted to get a set for my AP 4 pots, but wanted some feedback on them first.

John, I have found them really good. They bite well from cold, work well on the track (30 min. session without stopping) and I have not got them to fade yet.

I will be upgrading back to some 83 or 93 compound pads for track.

Pads for AP 4 pot calipers, I would go for some Carbon Metalics 'Z' rated pads.

danny

why do you want to go back to 83 or 93 compound

does the 2500 not give enough stopping power?

i have been using the 97 compound and it stops very well, but it s a pain in the **** to clean the wheels it burns into the wheels

i think 2500 is a nice compromise

Andre, I want those higher compound pads for track use. On the road I am very happy with the 2500's.

Richard, £190 Deliveried is what I can get the RS421's at.

A mate at APR has been telling me how good these new pads are. Given that the (quite excellent) Pagid RS421 pads standard with APR's 6-pot kit are £250, I've ordered a set! Thanks for the info

Richard.

Cheers, Dan. That's a very good price, but I've just got a new set. Thanks anyway.

Andre, when I tried the DS3000 I was not that impressed. When I tried the 83 compound Carbon Metalics, I was VERY impressed. But this is my opion, and if you want to speak to someone that has tried almost all the pads under the sun, speak to Stef.

if you really want stopping power

DS 3000 youre discs wear out faster but it brakes very hard

carbon metallic 93 or 97 compound wear out the discs also there comes a moment you have cracks in the discs

these are the most extreme pads but they stop you like a brick wall
