m1144 cost ?
#2
Thanks for the info. I was going to get the 1144 pads because I read that the 1155 pads take a couple of presses to warm them up. I'm not going to use the car for track days, just spirited road use so thats why I thought 1144 would be a better choice, unless you know better of course...

Hi all, I've decided to go for a set of Mintex M1144 pads, front and rear, on my MY99 Wagon and also to stick in an ITG panel filter.
Can anyone tell me who can supply these items for the best price ?
Cheers

Not sure I know better, but speak to Kevin at Falkland....he will give you his opinion, and he does know better.
Was going to get EBC Greens, but he told me not to bother.

That's cos he uses Mintex Seriously Kevin does know his stuff. They put some 1155 on my MY00 and they've not cracked the discs yet (9000 miles on 1155), although I do get some dragging occasionally which needs a few hard stops to sort out. They do squeal if you are soft on them. They stop better than the OEM pads from cold - and that is comparing them once bedded in after a while with similar wear. When used on a back road they stop really well. I am pleased. But officially they are not for road use - it says on the packet.

I use M1155's on my Legacy and I can echo John Bank's impressions. All I have to add is that they can glaze if not used properly on a regular basis. I get mine from the local Mintex dealer and he gives me 25% discount. :-)
