Question

OK,my EBC greenstuff have lasted 12k miles and are now 80% worn. This has been a good pad for me because it is good from cold (essential to me) and doesn't fade on my daily country road blast. What other pads could I consider with my 2pots with EBC grooved discs? The pad MUST be good from cold and resist the fade of a very fast 20 minute country road blast daily which faded the standard pads after 5-10 mins!

Thanks

Jon

Question

I put the EBC disks on at the same time as the pads, the discs are still in very good condition, I am very hard on brakes, and the greens have been ok, I would have preferred them to last a bit longer, but I killed standard pads in about 5k so I guess 12k isn't too bad. I guess they don't kill discs anyway, and certainly not EBC discs!

Are there any similar pads from anyone else (mintex), I wasn't going to consider reds, a mate had them on his 205, useless from cold and killed quickly on track?

Any other suggestions welcome, are DS2000 good, what are the characteristics?

I am tempted to say EBC Reds. I found that they stop fine in normal traffic. Ok a little bit more brake dust on the wheels.
I also have their turbo groove disks.
I find them great.

I spoke to a man in the know today. EBC have a NEW disk that has just come out. Better quality he tells me.

I am going to write a poste soon about EBC. I need about another 10. days to get a few things sorted. It will concern them and a one of their dealers.

It will make interesting reading.

I use Mintex M1155, having previously run M1144. Both are good, the 1155 taking one or two soft applications to warm. The 1144's wilted a little on trackdays.
