Keeping Alloys Clean?
#1
I know this old chestnut has been asked before, but I am expecting some OZ SuperL's next week and would like to keep them looking good.
My original 16"s (MY00) get filthy at the front. I know this is partly due to the brake pads, but suspect it is also a factor of the finish on the wheel.
Can anyone tell me if the finish on the inside/outside of the OZ's is more resistant to staining by brake dust etc.
Also, what can I put on the wheels to protect them and make the dust easier to remove..?
Cheers, H

I have OZ wheels. The Finish seams to be excellent on back as well as front. I applied a couple of layers of Autogylm polish to a set, then extra gloss protection. I find Brakes dust washes off with just warm water with added car shampoo, and no need for alloy wheel cleaner. Mind you my wheels are painted gold from manufacture but wasn't sure if alloy wheel cleaner would affect the paint finish.
