They wont fit with the the offset classics come with, you need a different offset on your alloys to clear the calipers.

Tony

PS i cannot remember what the offset is that you need

I sold my set of Brembo's to a classic owner and they fitted fine with the original 17" Sti8 wheels (sold him them as well), although he had to replace the tyres or they would have rubbed.

Powerstation did the honours clicky - so ask them if in doubt

thanks people

Is the offset on P1 wheels the same as normal classics?

Anybody know what offset I will need for the brakes?

It's not so much the offset that is the problem. Offset is the relative distance from the mounting face of the flange to the rim of the wheel. What's important with this application is the profile of the back of the spokes of the wheel.

The STi brembos protrude a long way outside of the mounting face of the wheel, the STi wheels have the spokes a long way out from the mounting face to clear them.

Obviously a wheel with more offset will move the complete wheel rim and spokes out away from the brakes so they will be more likely to clear the brembos than one with less offset. But you can't just say STi wheels have a ***mm offset and clear so all wheels with ***mm offset will clear them.
