Could anyone tell me what the best tyre size for MY00 with 18" P1 alloys would be

I have seen 225/35 and 215/40

225/35, the only tire that I know of that fits in that size (with no rubbing) is the PZero.

215/35 Proxes maybe? That's the size I'm running, and I love 'em.

I believe IanG is running 225/40 Yoko AVS and has had no problems.......

Exactly..it's just a matter if the tire has got a big lip protector a'la S02's or not.
I've got 2 mates with the said wheel, and S02's in 225/35, and they had problems with rubbing on the rear lip.

P.S. I think Goran "Joe" Frolander is *really* waiting for his gauges...an update would keep him calm for a while longer.

 

The Trouser Express currently sits on 215/35/18 Falkens...(19"'s on the way )... No worries on rubbing.

Wheel width and offset are obviously important... These are only a 7J rim!!..Loads of room
