Question

Got EBC turbo grooved discs & Greenstuff pads around 12 months ago for the front end of my WRX - and now the pads are completely shot, so I need some new ones.

However, on inspecting the discs a bit more closely, it's apparent that there is a lip on the outside edge - should I bother to change the discs as well?

What is other people's experience of the EBC disc/Gressnstuff set up? Do you replace pads & discs each time or use 2 sets of pads for 1 set discs?

Thanks for any help.

12 months from one set of pads!!!
You lucky bugger!
The small lip on the disc is perfectly normal and does not mean the discs need changing at all. Discs should be changed when they're either cracked or excessively worn, i.e, the grooves are disappearing!
Just change the pads, you'll be fine.

Stef.
PS I've had the same rear drums in for 88,000 miles and the lip's are bigger than Jordans!!!!

Cool

Cheers for the advice, Stef.

When I say thay lasted almost 12 months, they've only *just* lasted......I'm, a bit desperate for some new pads at the moment!!

Le Mans seems to have a habbit of finishing off the brakes on my car. Funny that.
