Went for a bit .. well actually quite a long thrape in the wet last nite to try out el-Scoob's wet weather skills. All was hunky dory until about 8 miles into journey when I started to get some major brake-fade ... like no bite at all until pedal pressed about 1/2 way. Couldn't smell anything nasty apart from the cows and pigs cack in the fields next to me ....

Is this normal, brakes not the cows, for standard MY99 UK turbo 2000 or something seriously wrong ?????

Could it be that you went through a puddle and got some water on your discs? If you braked a second time everything should be oke. This would explain why you didn't smell anything.
