Question

I'm thinking of buying a set of these (7x17")for my '97 Type R. Has anyone got them fitted?, and if so are they any good? I'd also be interested in hearing from anyone with similar style rims, like league099 etc.

I looked at a set of Kahn RS-S wheels as well, but I was told by the supplier it was hit or miss whether the wheel would clear the brake caliper or not!!

The other problem was when I found a set, and they had not issues with clearance, they had an offset of ET45, which would cause the wheels to rub on the rear arches!

Not worth the grief!!!

Cheers
Andy

I knew some one who had 7x17 khan rsr's on
his 97 scooby and it was fine no rubbing.
I thought the spokes looked rather short though not my cup of tea. He's changed them
now for 18's japanese cross spoke with a polished rim, looks good but wait till winter
when there is plenty of grit on the roads,
the polish finnish will start to corrode.

Thanks for the advice, league have just brought out a wheel called Black Widow, with a black chrome finish. I think they'll look really good on my Type R, as it is yellow!

Hi there all you un educated lads and lasses (mainly lads!)you can get a set of Kahn wheels on a subaru and they look the dogs! Here are a few tips to make sure you get it right:
Kahn RSS 7x17 5x100 ET45 Tyres 205x40x17
Kahn RSR 7x17 5100 ET45 Tyres 205x40x17
Kahn RSR 7.5x18 5100 ET45 Tyres 215x35x18
kahn RSZ 7.5x17 5100 ET45
Any subaru upto the year 2000 will fit the wheel perfectly as long as you haven't messed with the brakes (eg. put bigger ones on) however if you want to put kahn wheels on a subaru made 2000+ you may have to change the callipers. Anyway I hope that has helped you. My subaru looks and drives like a dream I like the simple clean lines of the Kahn wheel it adds visual impact to the whole car without detracting from the body its self. happy driving.

Not that you'd be biased, obviously, being a 'manager' for Kahn Design.

PS: 215/40 is recommended to avoid speedo error (and incorrect gearing) on Scoob 17" wheels. It's either 205/45 or 215/40 -- not 205/40
