Paul,

I found that Mintex 1155s lasted very well, even with track use. I am now using cheap pads which I got from a local motor factors for about £13, including VAT! THese have been on for the past 9 months, and are just about worn out. At this cost, even if they only last one track day, they are cheaper than wearing out 1/3 of a set of 1155s, or DS2000s.

I agree with John - Mintex 1155 are very good, a bit dusty but fairly good value. I paid about £50 for a set. Pagid Blue are excellent but very expensive !

Paul, what rear discs have you got? If they are vented MY99/00 you should be okay. I use DS2000 and am very happy to recommend them.

I've heard that the earlier non-vented rear discs can warp with hotter pads.

Richard.

I'm running prodrive/alcon setup at the front with pagid blues and standard discs and pads at the rear. If that helps. I only get 2 track days out of a set of Pagid Blues!! and less than one out of a set of DS2000

Paul,

A motorsport outlet had to source these DS2000 pads for me through a local Subaru dealer in the UK. Prodrive would not supply these directly. These pads are for the MY00 front 4 pots.

The motorsport outlet maintain that these are special Ferrodo pads available from Prodrive through your Subaru dealer only. Some other threads claim that you can get these pads elsewhere at half the price, but I'm not sure about this. I'm going with the motorsport outlet on this one.

I presume its the same story with the rear pads.

I have Mintex M1155's in the rear. These have worn very little in the last 5,000 miles, however they squeal a little in reverse. In general I'm happy with them.

I hope this helps.

Thanks guys. I should be able to get them then if they are a prodrive item as my supplier also is a main dealer.
