Bridgestone SO3's - First impressions
#1
After the Bedford Autodrome event I needed some new tyres So I had a set of the new SO3's fitted (thanks Tyres Northampton ). Previously had Pzeros on the car.
First impressions are that they seemy 'squirmy'... but that might be because they are still so new. I am using 215/40/17.
Anyone run a set in fully yet? If so, how are they performing?
Richie.

Richie, same for me on 16". I have uped the pressure I normally use to 34 front, 32 rear, and as the miles get put on they are improving. Probably covered about 300 miles so far, loads of grip, but as you say , lots of squirming, but improving with miles,

Diz,
£580 is a bit OTT. You should be paying £125-£130 per corner, not £145.
Does your offer come with your own private lap dancer
Try Micheldever, they seem to be the cheapest.

I'd agree £580 is way over the top for 4 SO3s. I was chatting to Hugh (posts as 'Huge') at the Herts meet - he runs a tyre company and he can supply SO3s starting at £90 per tyre (includes VAT, fitting and balancing). Contact him at hugh_ellaby@tesco.net
I suspect that SO3s are like most other Bridgestone's in that they need a fair amount of running in (anything upto 1000 miles) to be at their best.
Cheers
Chris
