Question Bridgestone RE050 - how do they compare?

Hello,

I have managed to get 21k miles from the original set of RE050's on a WRX03 with PPP, and have just bought another set from some kind soul on scoobynet for a good price. This has not been a record attempt or a sunday drive, just normal for me, with some enthusiastic driving.

So my question is:
As I have nothing to compare the RE050s to, how do they compare to F1s, Toyos etc? How would you rate them in terms of grip in wet and dry, and wear around the outer edges?
What am I missing out on?
Thank you.

Shame nobody is responding to this as I'm up to 17k on my RE050's (03WRX PPP) and am wondering exactly the same thing as I'll need to change in the next 1k or so. Maybe try posting this in the main forum

Smile Allways stick with Bridgestone myself ....

Had a set of Pirelli's on my MY03 STI and was not impressed in the wet, particularly with standing water dispersion.

JUst bought a set of Prodrive PFF7 Golds 18" (well the missus has, gift don't you know ) and have gone for the second time with Bridgstone Potenza's.

Found the car to corner like it's on rails in ALL conditions with virtually no aquaplaning.

Hope it helps mate
