Faded Calipers

When I picked my new scoob 6 months age the front calipers were a nice black with white "Subaru" writing. They are now a dismal grey with the white rapidly disappearing.
Any ideas how I can restore them to their former glory ?

I wire brushed the muck off mine and then cleaned with brake cleaner, then painted them with smooth hammerite and the bits where i went over the writing i removed with a rag and a bit of celly thinners, ive done the same to my last 30 cars so it lasts and does't come off and its cheap.just a bit time consuming that's all.

Paul,
Thanks for this, didn't look hard enough.
How do you deal with the white Subaru lettering? Do you paint it all with black then overpaint the lettering in white ... or just avoid the lettering in the first place?
Methinks I would make a right hash of trying to paint inbetween the white letters???

I have an MY2000 and after using Wonder Wheels I then had dull faded grey calipers.
I used black caliper paint and managed to paint in between the white writing. Any slips I scratched off using a stanley nife just before the paint went rigid, but just dry enough not to smudge it. The hardest parts removing the front wheels.
