Question

Want to uprate brakes on my 96 uk.

considering multiple options but have been advised to go for 4 pots to replace my sheddy 2 pots.

will p1 discs, pads and callipers slot onto my humble 96 under the 16" rims without major work?

my ABS is 2 channel, p1 has 4. will this create a problem?

also mine has solid rear disks, are p1 venteds a straight swap?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

I'll have a full set of P1 brakes on Wednesday next week - drop me a line if you are interested.

Yes, they are v.powerful, but I'm going for the Prodrive upgrade!

Rich,
P1 4 pots are the same as the later spec uk 4 pots, so don't pay a premium price. Even 22b brakes are the same just painted red.

Just make sure your wheels will fit over the calipers. Just because you've got 16" wheels don't be sure they will fit. If they fit a late spec car (ie. one with 4 pots)They will do nicely

Hope I've been of some help.
Iain.

Cheers guys,

still shopping around for prices at the minute, can't decide what discs/pads to go for.
