Question

Hi folks !
Anyone out there got an opinion on "Gold wheels" .... on a Turbo Hatch.
Mine's Mica Blue and I'm concidering buying some Supermagnesio 7x17's in gold.
I've trauled the web and found many pic's of Blue scoob's with Goldies on, but somehow I'm just not sure about it.

I'm a bit of a Scooby virgin (2 months), so any comments would be much appreciated.
Cheers Mixit

Cool

I'm sure a certain 'pslewis' might have a comment or two on the subject of gold wheels.

I personally think they look OK, but not as nice as anthracite. I've still got standards on mine as I am quite happy with them.

Best thing to do is look in the member's gallery and see what other people have got on theirs.

This is one of those personal things where people love or loathe them

Thanks Honslow.

Do you think there is a move towards Anthracite..... particularly on darker coloured cars?

I havn't seen too many Scoob pix with them fitted.......

I don't think there is a move particularly towards any colour.

I've got a silver MY00 4 door, and if I was to change the wheels, I think I would go for Anthracite. I nearly bought a DBM with gold wheels, I think they look OK on DBM and on green. It really is personal choice.

I think there is a website where you can try different styles (and colours) of wheels on cars and see what they look like, but I can't remember what it is.

Best thing to do would be to have a search through this section and see if you can find it.

Thumbs down

I vote on the side of the Yuk! over gold wheels. Only exception, on a black car, then it's very JPS.

if you are a rally fan then gold wheels puts you on the same footing as burnsie and the pro drive team.loads of cred in the forest. however if you never go off road then you pays yer money and takes yer choice
