discs knackered again?

A brief summary of the state of play:
At 22.5k service, swapped the front pads out for EBC Greens. These knackered the discs after about 5k miles.
At 30k service, swapped the discs out for Black Diamond 12G ventilated.
Now at 38k miles there appears to be some vibration when braking from high speeds (felt through the steering). 16k miles seems like a lot for a set of 'fast road' pads, but is it possible that the pads are outlasting the discs by a factor of 2:1? Anyone else had any problems with the Black Diamond/EBC Greens setup?
Maybe I should be looking at the rear pads/discs?
