.... and what is the PERFECT offset for the if it fits ?

i'm asking because i recently bouhgt an STi 6 but still have my OZ wheels from my previous car. i would get the offset machined to fit. i really love thise wheels. if they're too wide i'll just get rid of them then.

My '96 Legacy RS-B

has 17x8 wheels as standard. If you can find someone local who has one (or, I'd guess, a Legacy GT-B), they may allow you try a wheel for size.
