Default 320 mm disc for 4 pot, can do?

Hi All,

My local shop has offered me 320 mm 'E-spec racing' discs for my Subary 4 pot.

The disc comes with an 'adaptor' to bring the 4 pot further out so guess that will be ok.
I am only wondering whether the 4 pot would actually be using the full surface of the disc i.e. would it not be too small to use the disc surface closer to the centre?

Assume the bigger diameter would give the disc more time to cool, do you guys think it would be a noticable improvement?

Whilst we are at it what is the latest news on which pads to use best? Still Ferodo DS2500?

Hope to hear/tnks

Frank,

I have the 335mm Godspeed kit that does vitually the same thing, but with larger pads than standard to match the larger swept area. So, yes it could well use the larger area if the pads used are big enough, this you will have to check. Are the discs any thicker? If so this help loads with heat, but even without, bigger discs have to give you more stopping power.

Sounds good, so it means the standard 4 pot can actually hold different sizes of pads depending on the size of the disc? Will check on the thickness, tnks.
