PZero vs S02 ride quality
#2
Years ago I went from P-zero 205/45/17 to Yokohama 215/40/17's. The ride didn't noticeably suffer at all but then the car MY95 Scoob was already on Prodrive suspension and I tend to run my pressures at about 28psi.
With regards to the difference in tyres handling wise, it made the car slightly better through fast sweeping bends but in all I preferred it with the P-zeros probably coz the yokos were crap though. I have no experience with S02's at all. It seems that people either prefer the S02's and hate the p-zeros or vice versa.

Just yesterday I took my only-just-legal 17in PZeros off and replaced with nearly new SO2 PPs (having got a bent wheel changed).
Identical pressures, and I immediately noticed the S02s were a slightly softer ride, but I put this down to the extra 6mm of rubber they had on them.
The BIG difference is the S02's incredible grip in the wet.

Strange, I always thought the S02's were the harder/stiffer of the two tires, but I have only used the S02 myself. They're probably pretty stiff both of them then. Compared to Dunlop Z-rated tires the S02's are very much stiffer though.

Dom,
I changed over from P-Zero's to S02's on my RB5, I've never looked back since and wouldn't replace them with anything else, transforms wet handling.
No downside on ride quility, I'm running 34 fronts 32 rears.
Cheers,
Rob.
