I have a MY98 5 door Turbo non import with 2 pot brakes. I am changing to 4 pots this Thursday, are there any things to look out for? Will they fit directly on in place of the 2 pots or will I have to make any mods.

Cheers

Alan

Should fit fine assuming you have the same 16" 5 spoke wheels as the UK MY98. Mounting points are all the same.

Also worth fitting braided hoses at the same time and don't forget to bleed carefully afterwards.

Yep, standard 5 spoke 16" wheels. Any idea of cost for the braided hoses?

Cheers

Alan,

I got a set of Black Diamond Braided Hoses from Revolution for £58.

I bled the whole system and refilled with DOT 5.1 brake fluid whilst I was at it. Higher Boiling point than DOT 4.

Don't know why your bothering with the extra brakes as you drive like a wuss. I'm looking forward to lapping you a few times in mondello in the next few weeks

Scruff, I'm with Dark fit the braided hoses, about £60 stg (scoobymania seem to be the cheapest for them) and go for a high spec fluid (I use silkolene prorace 2000 from scoobysport but its too feckin dear), remember to buy plenty of fluid as you need to flush lots through and bleeding will be a pig with taking all four hoses off.

see you at mondello!!

I did mine a couple of weeks back an it took about an hour, already had the goodridge hoses on so no bother there

Sorry to hijack your thread Scruff
Dark Yeah I was one of the RB5s at Knockhill, the other had the prodrive brake upgrade and non-std RB5 wheels. I was the one driving like a wuss.

Mondello is near Dublin and the Irish Subaru Drivers Club are holding a trackday there on the 20th April.

Excellent idea, will find out dates available.
