Thats what my one and only turbo came fitted with and although I don't have any thing else to compare them too I'm quite happy.

Arn't the A539s the cut slicks?? Designed for track use, but 'just' (dry) road legal?

I thought the AVS were the wet biased road tyres?

I have a collegue who won't have anything else, good grip in wet and dry and they lasted him 15k (he has had S02, P-zeros etc) previously and none lasted more than 10k!

Quite pricey though I think!

I stand corrected the A032R is the 'just road legal' cut slick. The A539 is the replacment for the A520. It is a dry biased tyre though, and (apparently) doesn't give anything like the wet grip of SO2s/F1s/T1-Ss etc

The AVS is the Yoko flagship, and the 'Wet Grip' tyre.

I'm very happy with the new A539 on my Legacy, ideal tire for this type of car (2.0 AWD); for my Impreza Turbo, I prefer the PZERO! I think the sidewalls of an A539 are too soft to be used on a sportscar.

Thanks to all!

My experience of the A520 is

Soft compound yet good wear rate
excellent dry grip
Not too good in the wet
Too much movement in the sidewalls

All IMO and I believe the A539s are similar

Hi all,

I fitted Yokohamas on the front and they make a lot of noise under certain circumstances.
I won't buy them again.

Ciao,

Peter

I had A539s when I got my 17" alloys. I was pretty happy with them until I changed to Toyo Proxes... huge difference
