Track Tyres
#1
I have a spare set of wheels and have done all my previous track days on old road tyres.
Any tips on a good track tyre that I can drive to the track on?
Like the Yoko A038R fitted to the Lotus 340R.
Are Demon Tweeks any good for price/availabilty/advise?

It depends on yout budget and size.
The Yoko tyre you're on about is very expensive and not available in many sizes.
How about getting some used intermediate slicks?

For high grip 'dry' road tyres, the new P-Zero-C are reckoned to be about the best out there.
If it is out and out track tyres with no road use except minimal travel to and from circuits on dry roads, then semi/intermediate slicks are the way forward. Also tend to be cheaper than high spec road tyres
Worth also checking the AVON range, they do a wide range of very soft track/road tyres, not quite semi-slicks so better on road, but very soft and offer near semi-slick levels of grip. Dunno about sizes though, I know they do a fantastic range in 13/14" - but the Mak would look a bit silly on 13" rims
