Question

Has anyone had any experience with disconnecting their ABS? My back-ground involves some rallying in Kenya, but I never had a car with ABS out there, when I take my '95 model on any gravel here, I hate the feel/performance from the brakes and am about to fit a switch to disable the ABS( effectively the same as removing the fuse ).Does anyone do this for track work? I don't doubt the safety of ABS for normal road work, but there are occasions when I believe that I could do better without it's "help!"
Later -Thanks found some of the info in the archive, nice sunny day here, so I've fitted a switch.

I take out one of the abs fuses when it snows hard.I can not remember which one exactly (there is two fuses-fuse box next to accelerator pedal)as it does not matter as the abs does not work with either one out but if you hit the right one the abs light on the dash does not stay on constantly (99% sure).Thats what I do but I am not saying you should if you know what i mean.
