Which pads are the best for this job?
I hill climb my Sti v3, have Green Stuff pads all-round for the last 2 years. they are getting 2/3rds worn now, and I'm wondering what to use next.
Green pads are no better or worse than stock pads.
For hill climbing I need a pad to work 100% from cold.
Thinking off carbon metalics from AP, but any thoughts?
The calipers are Scooby 4 pots front, 2 pots rear, and the discs vented all round with braided hoses too.

911..............depends on tyre choice also..............but would of thought something like Pagid rs15 would be my choice!! our old 'grpN' set-up for one of the rally cars was rs15 front with rs4.4 rear (ltd choice of rear Pagid's) awesome friction with very good feedback / pedal modulation...............
your other option would be to go for say ds3000 all round (slightly less outright friction / feedback).............
with both these options you would really need "slicks" to exploit the braking potential..........
any questions, feel free to mail me,

thanks (again) for the advice on this car!
We are hillclimbing on slicks this year, but the type I'm using can be overcome by the current brakes, and I'm not at all sure that the abs is functioning as I can get the fronts to lock.....
Good modulated braking from cold is essential for the car, brake fade does not occure in a hillclimb!
Have printed the advice, thanks again,
Graham.

Just my 2p, but I'm not sure about DS3000 as a compound when you need it to work from cold, a la hillclimbing?
I used to use DS3000 on my racecar, they were scary going round the paddock as it felt like you had drums on the front, but once on track, and warm, they were awesome.
